About us

Ben

Ben is a Certifying Plumber, Drainlayer and accredited Solar Installer. He has been in the industry for over 30 years and brings a wealth of experience in specialised fields such as solar hot water and central heating systems.

He started Fusion Plumbing and Solar as a one-man band and now employs a staff of 5. He is a member of the Master Plumbers Association and is the President of the Nelson branch committee.

Ben is the most experienced solar specialist in the Nelson region, having undertaken many solar installations over the years, both commercial and residential. His knowledge of solar is second to none. He also enjoys mountain biking when he gets the chance!

Reece

Reece is now a Certifying Plumber and Drainlayer and Tradesman Gasfitter, having completed his apprenticeship with Fusion and has taken on all aspects of plumbing with great enthusiasm. His eagerness and willingness to try new things makes him a great addition to our team.  In his spare time he enjoys refereeing top level regional rugby games and hanging out with family.

Rylee

With plumbing in his blood, it was inevitable that Rylee would one day join the family business.  He always enjoyed helping out the old man in is spare time and is now in his fourth year of an apprenticeship, something we are all very excited about.  In his spare time he enjoys the gym and hanging out with friends.

Dylan

Dylan is the youngest one on our team and has recently joined us a first year apprentice. We look forward to working and developing his skills. He has been working at a plumbing suppliers so has a bit of knowledge already! He also enjoys sports and has played rugby and cricket for local teams – this has taught him to be punctual, work hard and never give up!

Tamara

Tamara takes care of our Administration and Human Resources, working alongside Ben to maintain and promote the business as well as looking for innovative ideas to apply to the workforce. She handles all aspects of customer service from accounts to booking jobs, without her we would be stuck!  She is also a Mum so juggles the work life balance on a daily basis.
